Happy Wednesday, friends! I hope you had the best Valentine’s Day with your sweetie, and you were completely showered with love! Our little family went out for Mexican food to eat our body weight in chips and queso, and then we came home and were in bed by nine watching Shameless. It was casual, and really I couldn’t ask for more;)

Shane and I take our title of dog parents very, very seriously. Boone is not just a pet, but also a member of our family, and we treat him as just that! We can not get anywhere near a pet store without a new collar, three new toys he probably already has, a new bag of Purina® Pro Plan®, and treats for our spoiled boy. The day we brought Boone home, I read a quote that said, “he may only be here for part of your life, but for him, you are his whole life.” Tears. All of the tears. Right then I told myself that I would do just about anything to give that little ball of fur curled up on my lap the BEST life possible.
As humans, we fuel our body with the best possible nutrition to feel our best, and that is true for all animals as well! The Dogumentary Video Promo below explains perfectly how much of a difference Nutrition that Performs® fuels every dog and prepares them to be the best in show! Growing up, I would watch Dog Shows on TV and train my stuffed animals to jump, run through tunnels, and weave through poles. Watching a dog complete all of these tasks blew. my. mind. Could dogs really do all of these things?! MADNESS. It has been something I’ve always wanted to see in person, and right now if you buy any bag of Purina® Pro Plan at Petco, you can enter to win a trip to the Westminster Dog Show! Whew, that weekend flew right on by! We had been having a very Monday-ish Monday morning in our house, and I was so happy to open the door this morning to see that it was sunny and in the 50’s today! Fifty in February?! Those are two “f” words that go really, really well together if you ask me. I packed up this little lady, and we went on nice, long walk for some fresh air!
When Lucy was still cookin’ in my belly, I went on a walk almost everyday around our neighborhood, so whenever I take her on that same route I get a little nostalgic and a lot less winded. I am so obsessed with her, and now I am that mom taking pictures with my DSLR in the middle of the street. I just can’t help it, she is so darn sweet! I will be so sad when she outgrows this little bear suit, and that day will be coming waaaay too soon…But that means it’s time for bigger and better things, BABY SWIMSUITS.
One of my guilty pleasures since becoming a mom, is hearing all about bedtime routines! When we were in survival mode and working through Lucy’s terrible sleeping habits (you can read more about that right here), one thing that everyone told me was that I needed a solid bedtime routine! A bedtime routine, could it really be that simple?! NOPE, not that simple for us, but it definitely improved her quality of sleep and it helped her understand when it was time for her to go to sleep. Since we’ve been sticking to it for about a month now, Lucy is sleeping approximately 100000% better at night, and we are all happier! So here it is, our six month old’s bedtime routine:READ MORE »
Between a black lab, a cat with a life purpose of knocking things onto the floor, and a baby…we have some serious messes at casa de Albert. & When life gives you messes, buy a robot vacuum. Enter in- bObi Pet! Imagine living in a world where there is a machine that you can program to clean while you are sleeping, at work, or just while you’re kicking back with your feet up. Well, prepare yourself, because it exists….and it is awesome. She sweeps. She vacuums. AND she mops. This vacuum is the housewife Shane wishes he had;)
Lucy’s Polka Dot Sleeper | Headband | Heart Wall Decal | Crib Sheet

I have seen so much negativity on social media recently, and it compelled me to share one of my favorite quotes! “People often forget that kindness is free.” At the beginning of this year, I decided to make a goal to go above and beyond and be kind to everyone that I meet. Lucy is getting older; she is going to see our actions, and hear our words….I want her to know words of affirmation and love, not of negativity and hate. Our goal is to raise our children to be kind and courteous, and to always be considerate of others feelings.
I have a long way to go before I am anywhere close to where I want to be, but I am making the conscious effort to be better every day. I think that we could all work a little harder at being kind and considerate, because we truly never know what everyone else is going through. Just a little food for thought:) I hope you are all having a wonderful evening! Xo.
As soon as I found out that I was pregnant with a baby girl, I dreamed of matching every single thing we ever wore. Clearly that would be excessive and way too expensive, but I love to match whenever we get the chance! Mama and mini style really is just the best thing ever in my book;) I was so excited that Amy from Pine and Poppy Shop sent us these matching beanies, and I can not get ENOUGH. Seriously, just look at them. Obsessed. You can use the code ILOVELUCY for 15% off your purchase with Pine & Poppy and support another hard working mama! The best part about her shop is that everything is completely customizable! You choose the color of the hat, any accent colors, and the color of the pom pom…What’s better than that?! Make sure you are following me on Instagram (@maryssaalbert) because I will be sharing a giveaway tomorrow night with them and you aren’t going to want to miss out;)
Our fresh, tiny 6 lb 12 oz 20 inch newborn is now our 14 lb, 10 oz 25 inch six month old! I can’t believe we have already had six months with Lucy! Time is a cruel, cruel thief. She is learning so many new things right now, and this is definitely my favorite age yet! She loves to jump around in her bouncer, homegirl LOVES apples, and she boycotts sleep at all costs.
