Lucy is growing like a weed, and somehow I blinked and she is 16 months old. I know, I know, I don’t understand how it happened either. I was talking to one of my fellow mom friends the other day, and she said one of her favorite things she’s done every month is write down all of the new words her daughter learned that month! I thought that it was such a good idea, and I wanted to share them here for my own personal memories……God forbid I write them in her baby book;) These are all the words I could think of at 11pm, so there may be a few more, but listing them all just makes me smile. I can’t wait to see all the new words she learns in the next few months. Homegirl is TALKATIVE.
Happy Halloween from our cute little chicken! I. Can’t. Handle. Her!!!!!!

Fall is here and we are HAPPY. We visited a pumpkin patch today with Lucy’s three cousins and she loved every second! We brought her last year when she was just a tiny little baby, and today she spent the day running around making friends everywhere she went. Time. Flies. Ugh.READ MORE »
This post is sponsored by Tarkett NA; however, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
When we bought our fixer upper back in March, it was hard to see the potential in this rundown hodgepodge of a house. The work was (and still is) completely overwhelming, but we knew there was a whole lot of life left in it, and it just needed some serious elbow grease. Unreal amounts of elbow grease. We still have PLENTY of work to do over here, but Lucy’s new bedroom is coming together, and the rest of the upstairs received a much needed makeover.
Shane and I spent our Sunday in Green Bay, WI watching the Packers win & we had a BLAST. It was so much fun, and I loved every second of it. It’s almost a four hour drive, so when we got home and picked up Lucy from my parents house….we were WIPED. Shane opened the door, let Boone dog out as usual and that was that. I put Lucy down and went straight to bed.
I woke up to Shane at 4am telling me that the front door was open, and Boone wasn’t in the house. I was freeeeeaking the freak out. Let me add in that Boone is my baby. He’s my first dog ever, and he’s amazing. The most loving, caring, and clingy dog you will ever meet. We can let him outside and we never worry about him leaving the yard. I never in a million years thought I would EVER be looking for my dog that got loose. So back to the story.READ MORE »
It’s been a hot minute, but I am coming at you with a September House Update! I am happy to report that we are seeing REAL progress…progress that makes me excited and gives me hope that someday we will actually live here! Someday. Since my last update at the end of May (read that here), I shared that Shane decided to do an addition, and now boom…..we have an addition. Shane and my dad had it completely built, from blocks to studs, to walls in just a few weeks. It was crazy!

Lucy is growing like crazy, Shane is working and working on the house like crazy, and me…..well, I’m just going crazy;) We have been busy busy since August started, and whew, it’s time for a blogpost! I wanted to share a few things that have been going on, and then get back to my regularly scheduled posts. So let’s get into it!
It’s been a loooong time since I’ve shared random things about me, and since I have a whole bunch of new followers on Instagram and my blog, I figured it was time to share! You can read my previous things about me post right here, and be sure to follow me on Instagram right here, because I shared even more over there! Let’s jump on in.
& just like that, our baby girl is ONE. Holy moly, when did that happen?! One year ago I was in the hospital recovering from a craaaazaaaay labor and delivery (read all about it here), and soaking in every last moment of Lucy’s newness. I know everyone says it, but wow…..it flies. If I could describe this last year in one word, it would be happy. Lucy has brought so much happiness to our family, and I am so glad that she is OURS. She has grown into the sweetest, sassiest, and coolest little one year old right before our eyes, and I don’t know how we ever lived without her!
