Happy Wednesday, friends! I hope you had the best Valentine’s Day with your sweetie, and you were completely showered with love! Our little family went out for Mexican food to eat our body weight in chips and queso, and then we came home and were in bed by nine watching Shameless. It was casual, and really I couldn’t ask for more;)
As soon as I found out that I was pregnant with a baby girl, I dreamed of matching every single thing we ever wore. Clearly that would be excessive and way too expensive, but I love to match whenever we get the chance! Mama and mini style really is just the best thing ever in my book;) I was so excited that Amy from Pine and Poppy Shop sent us these matching beanies, and I can not get ENOUGH. Seriously, just look at them. Obsessed. You can use the code ILOVELUCY for 15% off your purchase with Pine & Poppy and support another hard working mama! The best part about her shop is that everything is completely customizable! You choose the color of the hat, any accent colors, and the color of the pom pom…What’s better than that?! Make sure you are following me on Instagram (@maryssaalbert) because I will be sharing a giveaway tomorrow night with them and you aren’t going to want to miss out;)
I was oblivious to the fact that when you are 9 months pregnant, NOTHING fits great. Nada. Nothing. I have a hole in the crotch of every single pair of leggings I own (no shame), and I have a few dresses that still looks decently modest. I’m using the term “modest” pretty loosely, because really…..Everything is just a little too short. I am a vision these days, let me tell you what. One thing that does fit though, is my Blanqi Maternity Support Tank! This tank is seriously magic, it sucks everything in and makes me feel much more confident at 36 weeks pregnant:) I am feeling bigger and bigger every day, but it just keeps getting more real! Life is about to get crazy, and I have been feeling every emotion in the book the last few days. My due date is in less than a month, and even though I am feeling great most days….I am definitely ready to meet this girl. Ready or not, PARENTHOOD.
Oh Spring Maternity Style, you are my favorite. The weather we have been having over the last couple of weeks has been nothing short of wonderful, and I have been busting out the spring colors! Speaking of busting: I am semi-busting out of this dress, which is now a top thanks to this crazy bump, but I don’t even care…It’s one of my favorites! The majority of my dresses are no longer dresses, so I’m trying to improvise. I am in my third trimester now, and I’m REALLY trying to make the clothes I have now work. We will see what happens when July rolls around and nothing fits;) It is seriously crazy to me that I will have a little baby girl of my own this summer….I. Can’t. Wait. Did you mama’s buy a separate wardrobe while you were pregnant, or did you just try to make it work? I would love to know!
How far along: 14 weeks + 4 days.
It’s starting to get suuuuper chilly here in Illinois and even though I loathe winter, I am so excited for the holidays! It’s not even Thanksgiving yet and I’m over here getting festive….Typical me. I am slowly becoming addicted to blanket scarves, and this is the perfect holiday scarf! It’s so warm and cozy. Also, these flats. I’m obsessed. They are less than $40, and I get compliments every single time I wear them! Even though I love this outfit, I am currently writing this post from my hotel room in Phoenix, and I am so excited to not be bundled up! The weather is absolutely perfect and I am wearing dresses everyday. Life. Is. Good. We are missing out on 2-4 inches of snow while we are here and I am NOT mad about it. I hope you’re having an awesome week, my next few days will be packed with lots and lots of volleyball. Until next time!
SHOP THE POST:
Faux Fur Vest and a Swing Dress….See what I did there;) Not that cool. Anyway. I wore this outfit out and about for a day of shopping and I knew I needed to share it! My vest is from Target last year unfortunately, but they have one that is suuuuper similar (that I might actually like more) that I linked right here. Some faux fur vests are so expensive, and I’m just like whoa, pump the breaks…I am not going to wear this enough to justify spending $100. Target vests though, I can handle. I have this dress in a few different colors and it’s my favorite! I definitely recommend sizing up though, it’s a little short…But as long as you hold off on high fiving anyone, you should be good.
I think this may be the last dress I get to wear for a while (without tights!) because it has been seeeeriously starting to get cold around here. I’m currently laying on my couch with two blankets wondering why I ever decided to buy a couch this freakin’ comfy. It’s only going to get worse, so I might as well just suck it up now. But anyway, I hope you are all having an awesome week!
>Sweater< | >Denim<| >Hunter Boots< | >Lipstick<
It’s been chilly and rainy the past few days, so I figured it was the perfect time to pull the ole’ Hunter Boots out. Yesterday I was running to my car in my tennis shoes and I stepped in a HUGE puddle. Huge. Basically a glorified swimming pool. I vowed to wear my Hunter Boots every single time it rains from that point forward. I have been living in this sweater ever since I bought it last week, and I may or may not have already worn it like…..3 times. #YOLO. I love how oversized and cozy it is!
Slightly random question: Does anyone else have the hardest time walking down stairs in their Hunters? They are so practical and comfy, but seriously when I am walking down the stairs I sound like a friggin’ Clydesdale. Am I just incapable of walking? Probably. Should a grown woman really need to ask advice on how to walk? Probably not. But if any of you have shared in this problem I would love to know that I’m not crazy;)
I hope you all are having a wonderful Wednesday, tomorrow is my Friday this week! Woop woop!
Jacket | Denim | Wedge Booties | Thermal: Sold Out. Similar | Lipstick: Faux by MAC
Shane and I went out for sushi and to see a comedy show Friday night, and it was SO much fun. I drank several glasses of wine and we laughed the entire night….That’s a success in my book! This outfit was out of my usual comfort zone, but I have been in loooooove with black recently. I bought this faux leather jacket last year (it’s on sale now!) and I barely got any use out of it. Now here I am a year later and it’s all I want to wear! It looks so much more expensive than it actually was, and I love it. I had Shane venture outside in the rain to take these pictures for me (aka why my hair is all sorts of jacked up) and he barely even complained. That’s a top notch husband right there. Although, I remember asking “can you see the astro van in the background” and he said “nope.” OH REALLY. I guess I’ll keep him around anyway;)
