Hello, blog family! As I was going through my memory card this morning, I stumbled upon some photos of the house that I never had the chance to share. I wanted to post these here before I shared the progress photos of where we are now, because goodness gracious…the difference is HUGE.
These photos are from February (I think….my winter was a little fuzzy because of #morning sickness), and they were taken the night before the drywall crew started. One of the few projects that Shane decided to contract out, and let me tell you what….it was worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY. Seeing that much progress in a matter of days was just what we needed.
As for a current update: Shane is well on his way to finishing up the floor and shower in our master bath. It looks AMAZING. Once that’s finished, our tub and vanity can be moved in and the plumber can come back! We are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. There is still so much that needs to be done, sooooo much….but the house is just about livable. Finally. I wanted to be in the house by March. Then April. & now here we are, almost to May…..so May it is! There is a huge list of projects that will need to be done once we move in, but we almost have all of the big things checked off.
I am heading over to the house today to clean up sawdust, paint more doors, and take updated progress photos! I just thought it would be fun to share here first just how far it’s came in a few months. This fixer upper life is not for the faint of heart, but we LOVE it. If you like behind the scenes updates, I share plenty of sneak peeks on my instagram story @maryssaalbert, and we also started an instagram for the house @thealberthouse.
I’ll be back tomorrow with even more updated progress photos, happy happy Saturday!
