Happy Halloween from our cute little chicken! I. Can’t. Handle. Her!!!!!!
With the exception of her bonnet that my sister whipped up, I made Lucy’s chicken costume and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! I found a onesie on clearance for $1, and I covered it in some Christmas feather garland at Hobby Lobby (check out my YouTube video HERE all about that)…It turned out better than I ever thought it would! I couldn’t find yellow tights anywhere so I ended up using fabric dye and I am amazed that somehow I did not screw it up. #win When I put Lucy into her costume for the first time, she looked at herself in the mirror and just said, “wow wow wow” over and over….it was the sweetest thing! We took Lucy trick-or-treating to a few houses around our new neighborhood, and she did amazing! Everyone was freaking out over her costume, and she scored us tooooons of goodies. We didn’t stay out long because holy moly it was COLD, but Lucy loved to see all of the kiddos in their costumes and wave hiiii! I can’t believe that I am at the point of taking my child trick-or-treating, this is crazy to me!!!! How old am I? What’s next….soccer mom?! BRING IT ON. I hope you all had a fun-filled Halloween, but tomorrow is November 1st…So Merry Christmas everybody! *disregard the drywall dust on every surface always*
