WHEW, it has been a busy week. I had a garage sale this weekend, and I spent the entire week preparing for it. My house was in shambles while I was going through the piles and piles of crap we accumulated, and there were price stickers stuck to every surface, baby, and pet. It went really well though, and I am sooooo happy that is over. Garage sales are exhausting, and I had no stinkin’ idea! While I was working hard on that, Shane was d o m i n a t i n g over at #littleoleblue. Almost the whole house is gutted, and I can’t believe how much progress he has made this week.
We had a structural engineer come over this week to give us a second opinion on whether or not we were able to take out all the walls boxing in the kitchen without a beam, and I am happy to say…no beams necessary! We will be saving thousands on that, and I couldn’t be happier. The downstairs as is was so closed off and tiny, so taking out all the walls will make it a completely open floor plan and it’s going to transform the space! I shared photos of the progress made this week down below, now that we are actually getting somewhere…woohoo!
Looking straight ahead in between those beams is the kitchen, we are opening up this wall and making it all one big space! I’m living with a tiny kitchen right now, and I’m soooo over it. Take the wall, take all the walls!I may love pink, but I think we are sadly going to scrap the old school pink tub. This bathroom is getting a completely new layout, and I’m so happy to see it all go!
But now for the best find in the house thus far (circa 1993):
