>Sweater< | >Denim<| >Hunter Boots< | >Lipstick<
It’s been chilly and rainy the past few days, so I figured it was the perfect time to pull the ole’ Hunter Boots out. Yesterday I was running to my car in my tennis shoes and I stepped in a HUGE puddle. Huge. Basically a glorified swimming pool. I vowed to wear my Hunter Boots every single time it rains from that point forward. I have been living in this sweater ever since I bought it last week, and I may or may not have already worn it like…..3 times. #YOLO. I love how oversized and cozy it is!
Slightly random question: Does anyone else have the hardest time walking down stairs in their Hunters? They are so practical and comfy, but seriously when I am walking down the stairs I sound like a friggin’ Clydesdale. Am I just incapable of walking? Probably. Should a grown woman really need to ask advice on how to walk? Probably not. But if any of you have shared in this problem I would love to know that I’m not crazy;)
I hope you all are having a wonderful Wednesday, tomorrow is my Friday this week! Woop woop!

Fall Date Night
Jacket | Denim | Wedge Booties | Thermal: Sold Out. Similar | Lipstick: Faux by MAC
Shane and I went out for sushi and to see a comedy show Friday night, and it was SO much fun. I drank several glasses of wine and we laughed the entire night….That’s a success in my book! This outfit was out of my usual comfort zone, but I have been in loooooove with black recently. I bought this faux leather jacket last year (it’s on sale now!) and I barely got any use out of it. Now here I am a year later and it’s all I want to wear! It looks so much more expensive than it actually was, and I love it. I had Shane venture outside in the rain to take these pictures for me (aka why my hair is all sorts of jacked up) and he barely even complained. That’s a top notch husband right there. Although, I remember asking “can you see the astro van in the background” and he said “nope.” OH REALLY. I guess I’ll keep him around anyway;)
New Hair + A Few Friday Favorites
Happy Friday, friends! After a loooong week I am ready for a glass or three of wine and a hot date with my hubby! We’ve got a whole night planned to ourselves and I am so, so excited. Shane and I are so busy this time of year, so it has been far too long since we’ve gone out just us! But in other news unrelated to my marriage, I decided to put a few of my favorites together for the week….& I’ve been loving em’ all.
1) I bought this fitbit, and I am having so much fun with it! A bunch of my co-workers and friends have them, and it has been so fun competing against each other in challenges! So if you see me running up and down a random set of stairs, just know that I am not lost, just trying to win at all costs.
2) I had a hair appointment and I am in looooove with the outcome! I had her take of 5 or 6 inches and give me a fall balayage/ombre, and it’s exactly what I was looking for. Love when that happens 🙂 I’ve been using this Olaplex treatment once a week in between colors and it has been a LIFE. SAVER. If you are using bleach or color on your hair, I highly…and I mean highly recommend sprinting to your salon for a bottle of it. It’s that good.
3) The last two weeks I have been addicted to eating baking. I made this apple crisp this week and it was a hit! I changed up a few things to make myself think it was healthier, but it was just as good! I am already thinking about making it again tomorrow. Good thing I have a fitbit now right 😉
So that’s that! I hope you are all spending your weekend eating caramel apples and watching halloween movies….I know I will be;)
6 Months Married
Yesterday we celebrated our 6 month wedding anniversary! Sooo not an anniversary at all, but I will use any excuse to celebrate;) I realized that I never shared the video I made from our wedding day, so now 6 months later I am finally getting around to it! Don’t get your hopes up too high, this is just little random clips I recorded during the day and it’s nothing professional….But I love it just the same 🙂 I can’t wait to show our kids the video of our wedding day, full of taking shots and kissing basically the whole time. What a day.

October Fun List
October is here! I don’t know if you know this about me, but……October is my favorite, favorite of all the months. Last night while laying in bed, I came up with the idea to do a “monthly fun list” with 5 things I wanted to accomplish every month! You could call it a bucket list, but I don’t think these lists are going to be cool enough to be considered a bucket list. Speaking of, my ultimate list will be posted soon…& it’s pretty intense. I am shooting for the moon. DREAM BIG PEOPLE. Back to this post: This may not be super fun and exciting to some people, but it is to me, so this is what I came up with.
1- Go to an apple orchard and pick apples. I know, so basic….But I have never gone to an apple orchard to physically pick the apples & I am ready to put some work in here. Shane is begging me to make apple crisp, so according to him, this one is definite must.
2- Take a drive somewhere new and have a picnic. Checking out the changing leaves is one of my favorite things ever….Also food.
3- Learn to like football. Everyone FREAKS about football season and I have never been interested. I don’t really understand it, and I find it a liiiiittle aggressive, but I am determined to enjoy it more. We only have one TV with cable, so I would love to be able to spend time with my husband instead of closing myself off into my bedroom to watch Netflix on Sunday nights. Not totally sure how I am going to accomplish this one, but I’m really going to make the effort. Hopefully. Check back.
4- Go Thrifting. This is self-explanatory. I just really love old random shit.
5- Have a scary movie marathon. Anything based on a true story or really, really cheesy…Sign me up. If I can find a day off from any of my other responsibilities, this will definitely happen.
So there we have it. My very first fun list. WHAT a whirlwind. There is just nothing like October. Cool air, pumpkin everything, FESTIVE CANDLES. It’s the best. What is your favorite thing about fall? I would love to know! & now the mug that describes my feelings towards fall:
